Privacy notice

This explains what Grassrooted Club holds, why, and how to have it removed. It covers children's details, so please read it before registering a child.

Who holds the information

The football club you register with is responsible for the information about its players, parents and staff. Grassrooted Club provides the software the club uses to hold it.

What we hold

For a child: their name, date of birth or age, preferred foot, usual position, any notes you add, the team they play for, and the coaching feedback their coach records.

For a parent or guardian: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.

For club staff: name, email address, phone number if given, role and the teams they look after.

Why we hold it

To run the club: place children in the right age group and team, keep a register, manage the waiting list, record coaching feedback, and contact you about your child.

A child's details are only ever added by their own parent or guardian, or by club staff, and are held on the basis of the permission you give when you register.

Who can see it

Club administrators can see the whole club. Coaches can see only the teams they look after, and the waiting list. Parents can see only their own children, and only the coaching feedback a coach has chosen to share with them.

We do not sell information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

While your child plays for the club, and for a short period afterwards so the club can keep an accurate record of who played. You can ask for it to be removed sooner.

Deleting your child's details

Sign in, open your parent screen, and use “Remove my child's details”. That deletes the child, their registration or waiting-list place, their player record and their team place. You can also ask the club directly.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, or have it deleted. Contact your club, or write to us through the club, and we will respond.
